Japan Mécénat Awards
Honoring Corporations and Corporate Foundations for Outstanding Arts Support
Kigyo Mécénat Kyogikai (KMK: Association for Corporate Support of the Arts, Japan) has held Japan Mécénat Awards since 1991.
The Japan Mécénat Awards are presented annually by KMK to corporations and corporate foundations whose support for the arts has significantly contributed to Japanese culture and society. The awards are aimed to recognize and encourage the partnerships which corporations and corporate foundations have formed with the arts.
Award Reception
Winners 2009
Annual Award Presentation Ceremony held in November in Tokyo
The Award Presentation Ceremony of Japan Mécénat Awards is held at the Spiral Hall, Tokyo. The participants are over 300 people including the executives of the winning corporations/corporate foundations, Japanese business leaders and the members of The Judging Committee of the awards.
All the winners are granted a certificate of merit as well as a trophy created by a young artist (see below). At the Ceremony, the selection process and the winning activities are also explained with images on a projector.

Most of the past award winners have appeared in major Japanese newspapers, magazines, "Mecenat Note" (official bulletin of KMK), a special brochure of the Japan Mecenat Awards, etc.
Trophy
2009 - 2011 Trophy Japan Mécénat Awards
The trophy and Award Testimonial will be presented to all the winners of Japan Mécénat Awards at the Award Reception.
The special trophy is designed by Japanese artist, Mr. YOSHIHIKO SATOH. This was selected as a special trophy of Japan Mécénat Awards in competition.
The trophy of Japan Mécénat Awards is renewd every three year. The new trophy will be announced in 2012.
